part 1 Slytherins and Gryffindors are in the dungeons for another potion class. All of them have noticed that in the recent weeks Prof. Snape hasn't been himself. He's even more pale and irritable than ever. Also, the Slytherins noticed that he is eating a lot more nowadays. Suddenly, Neville's cauldron explodes. - Neville! - Snape yells - You've put in the ingredients too fast. I told you to leave the potion in repose for some minutes! Ten points from Gryffindor! Professor Snape steps back. It seems like the dungeons are on move, and in a very high speed. Can't see the students clearly. Malfoy stands up. - Professor Snape, are you ok? But Professor Snape can't answer. He is fast asleep in the floor. _._._._ Snape opens his eyes and realizes he is in the Hospital Wing. Madam Pomfrey arrives. - Finally you awoke, professor. - What happened? - Snape asks nervously. - You've fainted during class. It's better if you give yourself some more rest in the next months. - Why? Am I sick? - Well... not really sick, Severo. You are pregnant! Congratulations! Snape open his eyes wide, and then passes out again. _._._._._._._ Later in the same day, Snape is alone in his office. He is sitting down in his desk, with a book on his hands, but can't concentrate properly. The only thing in his mind is the night - the only night - Professor Gilderoy Lockhart seduced him. He didn't want any kind of relationship, but Lockhart couldn't accept a "no" as a response. He started to kiss Severus, take his robes out and when he realized, it was done. Before it, Severus was alone, without sex, and very comfortable with himself. Now he is still alone, but pregant. Fortunatelly, the terms has ended and he will be alone and able to rest, as Madam Pomfrey sugested he do. Part 2 Snape had to tell all the staff about his pregnancy, but he never mentioned the father's name. He was very ashamed about having a relationship with that fool golden haired git, and become pregnant of him. He didn't want rumours with his name. When term restarted, Snape's belly was sligthly visible, so he wore only the largests cloaks Hogwarts had. It worked for a while. One month pass... then two... and by now, his belly is noticeable at a long distance. But none of his students dared to ask him anything. Not even Draco Malfoy. But, of course, there were rumours in each house. Students talk about Snape's big belly and, of course, who the father is. - People say even Dumbledore don't know anything about it. - Hermione says. - I don't know, but I wish he never got pregnant. He's worse nowadays. He took me five points just because I looked at his belly this morning. but how can I avoid eye contact with that? - Yeah! - Ron smiles - He is quite funny! But we have to take care, or Gryffindor will have no points at all for the house cup, won't it? - But I wonder who is the father. - Hermione continues- It must be one of the professors... In Slytherin common room, the girls are also talking about it. - He is really sexy with that big belly under his black cloaks. - Yeah, he looks gorgeous! He's baby will be beautifull! I wonder if it is a boy or a girl. Suddenly, in the midlle of a Hufflepuff / Ravenclaw class, Snape starts feeling pain. It's time for the baby to be born. Part 3 Madam Pomfrey operates Severus Snape in the hospital wing. Only Dumbledore is allowed to watch it. Snape is anesthetic and awake, but can't see what is happening, until he hears a high cry. - Oh, it's a baby boy! - Madam Pomfrey says - and he is perfect! - Where is he? - Severus asks in his soft voice - Let me hold him. - Wait, please, Severus. I have to clean him first. Madam Pomfrey cleans the baby and Dumbledore asks to hold him. He takes a good look at the baby, and then gives him to his father, saying: - Here is your baby, Severus. Congratulations! He is exactly like Gilderoy: wavy golden hair and forget-me-not blue eyes. As Snape heard it, he wants to kill himself. Now, everyone will know about his father. But when he first see the baby, he forget about everything. He is so gorgeous, small and dependant, and he is his! In the next day, Snape is already recovered, but will not give class for the whole month. He only wants to take care os his son. The students wants to see him and the baby, and he allows small groups to enter the hospital wing. But what really bores him is what he hears: "Wow, he looks like Prof. Lockhart!" "Lucky him, imagine if he looked like Prof. Snape?" "How could a handsome man like that date Snape?" It was all he didn't want to happen. So, Snape does the hardest choice of his life. He really enjoys working at Hogwarts, but he can't hold it anymore. He goes to Prof. Dumbledore's office and explain everything. - Well, Severus. I understand why you want to quit the job. I really don't agree with your arguments, but I'll not object. I hope you ever consider returning to Hogwarts. You know the potion's vacancy will always wait for you. - Thank you, Albus. - Just one more thing before you leave, Severus. I heard Gilderoy is cured and left St Mungo's last week. I have his address right here. Dumbledore gives a small piece of paper, written in golden letters. - It's up to you to look for him, Severus. Snape take a look in the address and keep it in his pocket. - Thanks for everything, Albus. I believe you will hear from me soon. - I hope so, Severus. The End 07/08/03
